Paneer ki Bhaji

Paneer ki Bhaji/Cottage Cheese
Paneer ki Bhaji

Paneer or Cottage Cheese is one of my favourite ingredients. I love the very taste of paneer and don’t like to mask it in heavy spices. This very simple dish is a particular favourite of mine. This version of paneer bhaji is ready in a jiffy and is very healthy, because very little oil or spices are involved.

Ingredients

  1. Paneer – 200 gms
  2. Onion – 1 Medium-Sized
  3. Mustard Seeds – 1/2 tsp
  4. Turmeric – A Large Pinch
  5. Amchur/Dry Mango Powder – 1/4 tsp
  6. Green Chillies – 2
  7. Oil – 1 tsp
  8. Salt to Taste

Method

  1. Cube the paneer into 1/2″ cubes.
  2. Dice onion finely.
  3. In a wok/kadai, heat the oil.
  4. Add mustard seeds and wait till they splutter.
  5.  Add the diced onion and green chillies.
  6. Fry till the onion turns transparent.
  7. Add the turmeric powder.
  8. Turn off the heat.
  9. Add the paneer cubes, amchur, and salt.
  10. Mix well.
  11. Serve with hot rotis.

  1. You can add kothimeer too after you switch off the gas n then place a lid. The aroma while serving is so awesome…. that it gets my otherwise busy husband craving for food and pulls him to the food faster.
